WELCOME TO THE CONVENTION 2013 PAGE

We are already preparing for the 2013 Church of Light Convention scheduled for July of 2013.  As in previous years, we will begin the convention with two days of pre-conference tours and camaraderie on Wednesday and Thursday.  Friday's schedule will include a Pre-Conference Intensive, Annual Business Meeting, and Initiations.  Saturday and Sunday will feature a variety of Church of Light speakers offering workshops on the topic of ALCHEMY.  Your price of admission will also include two buffet lunches and a banquet dinner and dance.

Look to this page for continuing updates as our preparations unfold.  We look forward to an exciting event and your participation as an attendee, a volunteer, or one of our speakers.

A CALL FOR SPEAKERS

We are still looking for speakers to fill the few remaining spots open in our program.  The following is a list of topics for consideration, or our speakers may submit an idea of their own:

• Finding the Thought Causes and Antidotes
• Applying Transmutation, Antidotes and Conversions
• Identifying Alchemical Imbalances Using Astrodynes
• Affirmation, Visualization and Absent Treatments 

The Convention Committee is formally requesting proposals for presentations for next year's convention to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Presentation proposals must be submitted to the Convention Committee either by mail or email by no later than June 1, 2012. All proposals must relate directly to the Brotherhood of Light Lessons on Alchemy but may be augmented by oher acceptable materials and/or research.  In order to be considered, proposals must address the following guidelines:

• Name of presenter and brief bio (including length of time with The Church of Light, grade, and degrees completed)
• A title and brief synopsis of the presentation
• Length of presentation (please request a 1-hour or 1.5-hour session)
• Audio-visual requirements (i.e. microphone, LCD projector, laptop, overhead, screen, etc.)
• For Convention 2013, we are requesting that ALL presentations have an interactive component.  Please give a detailed explanation of how you will meet this requirement in your presentation.
• A headshot or photo in digital format (preferably jpg) is appreciated.

Our convention is a completely volunteer event designed for building camaraderie and as a fundraising effort for The Church of Light.  Each speaker is responsible for his or her own travel and convention expenses.  Please contact us as soon as possible with your proposal as advertising and promotional activity must begin this summer.  If for some reason you cannot provide us with all of the requested information soon, yet would like to make sure that you are included in the program, please send us your name and the topics of your presentation to:
