Mars conjunction Pluto in the sky – November 27, 2012

D.W. Sutton

Mars in the sky moves to form a conjunction aspect with Pluto on November 27, 2012 at 8.14pm UT and major events bearing the characteristics of both planets are destined to occur. On the world stage Mars stands for strife, might, aggressive force, belligerence, violence, brutality, conflict, war, military offensives, the army, police, bombs, guns, shootings, accidents and fires. And Pluto stands for groups, the international community (UN), dictators, tyrants, terrorists, rogue countries, nuclear weapons, insidious barbaric behavior, coercive enforcement, stonewalling, drastic measures, threats, bully-boy tactics and disunity or cooperative effort. The Mars-Pluto conjunction is square Uranus which ups the aspect's discord potential.

With what's going on at the moment this astrological event will see the fighting escalate in Syria as dictator, Bashar al-Assad, (Pluto) fights for his life. Will he be assassinated? and will the violence spread to Turkey, Lebanon or Jordan? Or will Israel attack and bomb Iran? In Burma, Sudan and Sri Lanka ethnic tensions are red hot. And in Britain a child sex abuse scandal is waiting to explode. In many countries mass protests involving large groups of people (Pluto) often turn violent (Mars) and the police (Mars) are out in force. But it's the Middle East where the tensions are at a flashpoint.

There are over 60 countries ruled by dictators who exercise arbitrary authority over their citizens and who cannot be removed from power through legal means. And in some countries the military plays the role of dictator. These tyrants suppress freedom of speech and religion and the right to a fair trial. Some commit torture and execute political opponents. Dictator countries include: Burma, Chechnya, Cuba, North Korea, Sudan, Algeria, Angola, Belarus, Cameroon, Chad, China, Congo, Ethiopia, Fiji, Guinea, Iran, Laos, North Korea, Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe. The Arab Spring saw dictators tumble in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. The really bad 'dictator' guys include: Omar al-Bashir in Sudan; Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe; Islam Karimov in Uzbekistan; and Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
