Meet the Staff and Volunteers
Margaret “Peg” Joscher has served as President of The Church of Light since 2019 and has been a dedicated member of the Board of Directors since 1993. Based in Burlingame, California, she works as a small business consultant and volunteers as a CASA advocate for children. Peg is passionate about supporting The Church of Light community and plays a vital role in fostering connection—whether through online gatherings, social media, or the biannual Convention.
Brian Jones,Treasurer, brings over 20 years of experience as a bank executive to his role as Treasurer of the Church of Light. His background in financial management, organizational leadership, and strategic planning provides a strong foundation for the stewardship of the Church’s resources. He holds a degree in philosophy and has dedicated more than 35 years to the study of the occult across a wide range of
traditions and practices. As a Hermetician with the Church of Light, Brian continues to advance his work in verifying and applying the principles of extrasensory perception (ESP). His lifelong pursuit of
knowledge and spiritual understanding reflects his deep commitment to serving the mission of the Church of Light.
Patrick Ramsey joined The Church of Light in 1995. He is a Hermetician, Certified Teacher, and Membership Minister. Patrick has served on the Board of Directors since 2003 and currently serves as the Sectretary. Included in Pat’s many duties is corresponding with New Members, grading exams and supporting students in their home-study courses. Patrick is also a presenter at Church of Light Conventions.
Vicki Brewer served on The Church of Light Board of Directors from 1985 to 2022. A member since 1971 and a Hermetician since 1984, Vicki brings a lifelong dedication to the Work. She holds a B.S. in Education from the University of Oklahoma, an Association Montessori International Diploma from the AMI Institute in Santa Monica, and has completed postgraduate studies in psychology at California State University, Fullerton.
Vicki oversees many of the Church’s publishing activities, including contributing to the light.org website, formatting and printing The Brotherhood of Light Lessons in various formats, art direction, and serving as Contributing Editor for The Church of Light Quarterly. Along with Peg Joscher, Aaron Doyle, Paul Brewer, Shawn Bailor, and Deborah Yaffee created and developed the AHA online curriculum. One of her favorite projects has been redrawing and coloring the Egyptian Tarot cards. Vicki continues to enjoy supporting the creative work of our dedicated staff and volunteers.
Paul Brewer, Director Emeritus, served as President of The Church of Light from 1994 to 2015 and continues to volunteer his time in support of the Church’s ongoing work. A member since 1969, Paul is a Hermetician, Minister, and Certified Teacher of The Church of Light. He has practiced astrology professionally and taught classes since 1970. His workshops are available on Church of Light TV.
Paul is also the developer of the Horoscope astrological software, which incorporates the Hermetic system and Astrodynes as taught by The Church of Light.
He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from California State University, Fullerton. Now retired from The Boeing Company in Anaheim, California, Paul lives in New Mexico, where he continues to dedicate his time and expertise to helping The Church of Light thrive in the 21st century.
Yvette Fortin has been a member since 2008 and became a Hermetician in 2013. As a Certified Teacher, she has conducted classes on the Mayan Calendar, Esoteric Psychology, and Mental Alchemy. She has led Astrological workshops, metaphysical discussion groups, and has been a presenter at Church of Light conferences since 2011. She enjoys teaching esoteric, spiritual, and metaphysical principles.
Yvette currently works as the Office Assistant at The Church of Light and spends her free time studying Astrology, Spirituality, and Hermeticism.

Radine Ramsey, is a Hermetician, Certified Teacher, Minister and Mentor in The Church of Light. A member since 1997, she assists Pat in the processing of exams and writing letters. Her volunteer activities at Headquarters include proofreading the Quarterly, and other published materials. She is a member of The Order of the Sphinx.
She is an avid photographer and enjoys a good laugh. Her singing comedy routine based on the Major Arcanum at a convention was extremely entertaining and well received.
Margaret Dissinger is a Minister, Hermetician, and Missionary Teacher, former Board Member, and member of the Order of the Sphinx, an axillary organization of the Church of Light.
She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in private practice, and retired after 20+ years in public education. See her class on Ethics for Astrologers on Church of Light TV.
She joined the Church of Light in 1970. During her five year stint at International Headquarters in Los Angeles, she taught classes and coordinated study groups. Margaret is a past member of Professional Astrologer Inc. having passed their examinations in 1973. She has taught astrology in Farmington, NM as part of the San Juan College Community Outreach Program, and makes her home in Katy, Texas.
